Odp:Translation request

This is not so easy task, because on Polish Wikipedia we use different taxonomic treatment and nomenclature, based on The Howard and Moore Complete Checklist of the Birds of the World. 4th. Edition with later updates. The current, frequently updated list of Polish names of birds of the world is here (this list contains also Latin and English names). Second thing, do you have reliable source for this list? I mean some ornithological organization or institution preparing that kind of list (and regularly updating it), we have one in Poland. Without good sources such article can be deleted on our Wiki. I'm currently busy with other things (correction of all birds' articles on our Wikipedia), so I can't help right now. Hello. Thank you for your reply. Yes, there is a serious lack of sources in that article and I have difficulty finding sources myself. Also, not every bird species may have a name in different languages, which is the other difficulty. I will ask the other user, if she has the time and interest. Thank you for your recommendation. Hello. In addition to what Pikador wrote above, few years ago we decided in Polish Wikipedia that we would not be developing this type of national lists. Hi, I'm sorry for the late reply. As far as I know most reliable source for national lists is BirdLife International webpage, but sometimes their country list for particular species (or vice versa) is quite hard to verify. Probably some contributions are based on unpublished information or on publications released few decades ago. Hi, In 2015 book „Polskie nazewnictwo ssaków świata” was published. It regulates polish-language vernacular nomenclature for all mammals of the world. And I didn't buy it, because my speciality aren’t mammals, but arthropods. So it would be better to ask someone who has that book. You can ask here – discussion of pl zoology wikiproject. Second thing is sources. List in en.wiki has references only for some recordes. It would be better to have already published source with national checklist to use it as a reference to whole list.
